I was amused to see a fairly large bee forcing its way into a tiny flower petal. He was far too big for the the tiny bell shaped flowers on my blue butterfly delphiniums, however this bee kept forcing itself into one flower after another. Before I could get a complete photo of the bee, it disappeared inside the flower. Not sure if it was able to reach the nectar as it didn’t spend too much time in each flower. Does look like a bee in a bonnet.
