Pomorie Lake is a natural lagoon located to the north of the town of Pomorie, Bulgaria.
It is separated from the sea by a natural sandy belt, wide in places of 10-20 meters. Just south there is a sewer through which seawater flows.
Over the past years, sea salt has been harvested, and some of the facilities are still in operation today.
In the lake itself there is healing mud and lye, unique with its qualities for restoration and treatment of bone diseases.
From 2010 on the southern coast of Pomorie Lake is a visitor and nature conservation center.
Pomorie Lake and adjacent territories are declared a protected area.
Here, from a very small distance, different birds can be observed.
On the pins remaining from the old salt-pans, there are different gulls like a parade, and in the water you can see swans and cormorants.
That’s an amazing photo! A real postcard!
Lovely photo great birds.
