Lake Bled … Slovenia Lake Bled (Slovenian: Lake) is a glacial lake in the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia. The lake is located in the same municipality Bled. It is only 55 km from Ljubljana. The lake is 2.120 m long, 1.380 m wide with a maximum depth of 30.6 m. The lake is surrounded by mountains and forests. On the northern shore of the lake is the medieval castle. In the middle of the lake of Bled island, the only natural island in Slovenia.
