Hunua Falls

I’ve been going through my archives trying to reorganise my photos and came across this photo. I took this year, after the floods in March there was more water than ever in the Hunua ranges and the falls. We couldn’t go and see it until it had died down, but there was far more water than it’s usual trickle.

You could see where the river had rose and destroyed a path and flattened some trees. For the first time I heard the loud roar.
