Love It

Flora of times past…

The deserted trailer park in Vista California has some left over flowers, trees and bushes that are fantastic.

I say left over because all the mobile homes have been removed and the park sits abandoned since 2005.

Although we haven’t had any rain for over a month the flora is still surviving.

I posted an article earlier about this park in Vista here,  I had many more photos to share from my walk on Monday in this old park that I needed to make another post on it. Maybe even one after this.

The Giant Agave

Each of these leaves are larger than my thigh.. It towers around 10 foot tall. This one is the variegated kind, meaning it has white and green. Or actually blue and yellow.

Pink Oleander

The hillside is brown but this bush still blooms.  I love them, they bloom all summer long.

I love this blush color, and the blooms were really pretty shaped.

This is a drought tolerant bush, but is poisonous to domestic pets.

This is actually a flower that grows wild here, it is off white and orange. It looks dead from far away, but you get close and its really gorgeous.

Left behind

Someone's driveway was lined with these. A pretty bottle brush bush in the back round. A giant tree provides shade over the whole yard. Or what used to be a yard.

Another silver succulent.

It had maroon edges. So pretty but almost dried out.
