A Spectacular Sunrise At Brighton Beach Durban

In July there are huge shoals of sardines coming up the coast from the cold Atlantic, as they reach the warmer waters of the Indian ocean, off Durban, they come inshore and often wash up in their thousands on the Natal coastline. As these tiny, tasty fish migrate northward they are followed by hundreds of sharks, dolphins and schools of barracuda. This photo was taken in late June, just before the run.
