The park of the Vrana Palace

The park of the Vrana Palace.

A previous my post “Vrana Palace” I briefly introduced how this park began to develop.

The then prince of Bulgaria Ferdinand Maximilian Karl Leopold Maria von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha, about us Ferdinand 1st, is known for his love of nature.

His credit was the provision of animals at the Zoo of Antwerp in 1879.

Together with his brother Prince Augustus, after their visit to the Amazon, the results of their botanical observations were published in 3 volumes.

So, after buying this mansion and turning it into a residence, he started planting rare plants for Bulgaria.

Greenhouses have been built, the plant can still be seen planted by it.
