Super Powers

I am always asking the children and adults that I work with and coach, what their superpower of the week is. I love some of the answers that they come up with and once in awhile they respond with “What’s your superpower?” Recently someone asked. At first, I was not sure how to respond and after about three minutes I came up with an answer that was relevant at the time. “My superpower is my ability to read and reason and think for myself. “I love to hear the opinions of others, they give me additional and some times different points of view. It all goes into the decision and conclusion that I arrive at in the end.

Everyone has superpowers because superpowers are simply paying attention to what you do well and using those skills to help yourself become better. It’s all about learning.

It’s true that some lessons are harder to learn than others. Some people are afraid of change and growth.

I wonder if anyone else here would write a post about what their superpower is today. My grandsons are both doing that right now. I am interested to see what they come up with. The younger one has been baking cookies all morning, I am certain he will lean in that direction.

It’s a good way to remind people to look at their strengths.

  1. my superpower is the ability to hear what the deeply technical engineer says, and convert that to something that makes sense to non-technical people.

my other superpower is Fred and Ed stories, I am posting a new one later today! (per your request!)

    • Well, in my humble opinion you are a super here for that skill. You are also a superhero for sharing even the hardest parts of your life so others can learn. I think you are a superhero because you can stand up for the underdog with grace. And those are just off the top of my head.
