Today is Sunday morning and the sun is coming up and the Lord is good. I know I should go to church more often, but a lot of time I just like being home and reflecting on the past week and wondering how I can change also I miss my home church up in Pennsylvania for before I moved down South I was becoming a regular again on the Sunday school front. I like Sunday school and listening to the others share their ideas on the lesson.
My ponderings made me go on Amazon and order some of my old Sunday school textbooks that I remembered. They were my Catechism textbooks and a few elementary/junior high books. I actually found them and the memories that flowed back to being confirmed into the Lutheran faith. I remember learning the Lord’s Prayer in the early grades in the rote fashion and then as we grow in our faith jjthe teachers would break apart the sentences and explain each of them along with learning about the various creeds as in The Apostle’s Creed, The Nicene Creed and there was a third and I cannot quite remember how to spell it right now.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in Heaven.
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we
forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation.
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory
forever and ever. Amen.

Thank you very much and I have a lot more ideas to write along the same way. Have a good week.
Great post for a Sunday morning! 🙂
