Reading With Children

There are many things that I believe to be important and worthwhile. Reading with children would make it in my top ten list for sure.  There are so many great books out there. There are so many libraries where you can go and check out books at no cost. I guess I don’t see an excuse for not reading to children.

So you don’t have any young children. Please volunteer, even just once a month to do storytime at a school, a daycare, for a neighbor or at the library.

#1 It Should be in Every Preschool Library

This book is all about the power of words. Many worry that a child may be too young. Even if you are only reading a few pages and picking it up another time it creates a habit of reading. Reading gives us the power to learn on our own. It is an amazing gift.

These are just a few books that I am donating. I hope you take the time to give them a look and if you have a suggestion of some child in need of a book, please send me a private message.

Children love to be in charge! So let them babysit you! It's fun. It has some great ideas and it's another of this fall picks for me. This one is going to the senior center so they have something to read when little visitors come to visit.

#3 Who Wouldn’t Love a Wonky Donkey?

If you can read this and not burst out in laughter, please tape it for the rest of us! We always end up laughing.

What do you think?
