Shirl is one of those people that you instinctively avoid. Of course, being logical and disputing your ‘gut’ you don’t run in the opposite direction when you see her.
You should.
For Shirl has a deep well of hatred for other people based on their appearance. It is as if having been deprived of an attractive face and body she will punish those who do.
I say this to explain how I knew what Shirl was the second I met her and how I was able to avoid her treachery.
I never betrayed my awareness, and tried to always act a little stupider than she was, more impressed by her than I was.
This is why I’m able to write this.
