Chicago, Illinois (Edgewater neighborhood)
Nikon Coolpix P7700
There are a couple of Sycamore trees in our neighborhood. Since their leaves are huge compared to many other species, they tend to overwhelm the other fallen leaves near them.
Editing was done using ACDSee Ultimate 2020. I adjusted the lighting and increased the contrast, clarity and vibrance. Then I ran the ‘Dreamy’ action from the Landscape collection. Then I created a duplicate layer and applied the Oil Paint special effect.

It amazes me how many things I have simply missed on Virily. I love this. Perhaps this was the perfect time for me to see it.
I keep coming across stuff I missed also.
Love the painting very much.
Thanks, LaJenna. It is a photo. I just used a special effect that makes it look like an oil painting. My wife is the painter in the family.
Beautiful picture , thanks !
You are very welcome, Mila. I’m glad you liked it.
The leaves look fantastic. I very rarely see this tree in our country.
Thanks, Vidocka. There are quite a few in my neighborhood. I don’t know if they grow in this area naturally or were planted by the city.
They do not naturally succeed in us. I don’t know if we have the right climate
Trees are picky that way.
great choice of effect for the image!
Thanks. That was the first time I’ve ever used it. It just seemed to fit.
