I spent thirty minutes trying to understand a conversation I was reading and finally just decided it didn’t apply to me. I don’t know why I was trying so desperately to make sense of it. One of my friends was on the phone and I was reading the back and forth to him and he just kept laughing.
He finally said, “Don’t you know some three-year-old children?”
“Well, do what I do read. Read it all again in a three-year-old voice and mentality and you will see the humor. There is no right or wrong answer it is about who can say it the loudest so everyone will think they are correct.” So he pulled up the same conversation and we played the parts. It was funny and I laughed so hard I cried.
Perhaps there are different ways to appreciate things that I had not considered. The value of laughter is great and I am going to bring it into my life as much as I can. I still don’t know who was angry with whom and if there is a real problem to solve. I do know he helped me turn it into laughter and for that I will always be grateful. I hope you have some friends like the great ones I have in my life.
