Ghostwriter
This is a classic. I heard it a lot growing up, my Mom must have loved it. She would always ask me who I would run to. It would give her the opportunity to talk about all the people who really did care about me. She was always trying to remind me that I was loved.
Every year she would give me a shirt of a different style that said: “Somebody Loves Me”. It was really quite funny when my Mom got sick and couldn’t remember much she still gave me the shirt – I think my sister helped. why? Because my sister gave me a shirt that simply said “Who?”
We had a good long laugh.
who would you run to, is the story of why my wife left advertising. One day we were at my parent’s house and our daughter hurt her knee.
She ran past my mother, my sisters, and my wife to find me.
I fixed the knee. On the way back to Cincinnati my wife was quiet.
I said what is wrong?
She said, “she ran past me to you.”
She left her advertising job a month later!
It’s amazing how many memories come while listening a song!
