Biden calls for mandate requiring all Americans to wear masks

Presumptive Democratic candidate Joe Biden has called for a mandate requiring all Americans to wear a mask when going outdoors for “at least” the next 3 months.

I wear a mask in public. Not because I am overly worried. I do it to give comfort to those who are very concerned. I don’t appreciate the $250.00 fine if I happen to be putting it on as I am walking towards the store. I don’t know if 3 months is a magic number. I am concerned that I am not going to love the days leading up to the election and I am fairly certain I won’t be happy after the election.

Our world is not at peace. Peaceful protests are a thing of the past. Fires, shooting each other, and looting are not peaceful and it’s not a protest, it’s a crime. No one really talks about how lawless and what damage we are enduring to try to appear tolerant. One should not be tolerant of crimes.

While I will try and keep this kind of posts to a minimum. I think there are important things to think about as we create the world we are giving our children and grandchildren.

Sad.

  1. Washington DC has had peaceful protests going on for the past month. For DC the most violent protest wasn’t he protestors it was the national park police.

I think from what I have heard from CDC experts and others that 3 months is a starting point. That may have to be extended. But the thing scientists are saying is that if, people wear masks the spread rate will drop radically.

Korea, China and other parts of Asia where they have had the need to wear masks (SARs and other really bad flus) their spread reate is way lower than the us.

        • I honestly don’t feel like people aren’t willing to wear masks, at least where I live. I see them everywhere and they seem to respond in a proper manner when people nearby offer them, because they feel the need.

Our grocery stores require it. I appreciate that from a business point of view and am grateful they set the standard, not the government coming in and say you must.

I think the problem comes when it’s a rebel like me. I wear masks most of the time and I have multiple ones available all the time. I don’t want to be “TOLD”, I must by the government. I don’t want to wear a mask when I mowing my yard. I tried it once and it was not good.

  2. All I can say is that I have not been out at all for ages and now I would like to go out and stretch my legs. I do not know if my anxiety-ridden nerves can take a long or short walk with a mask on my face. Time will tell,
