American Red Volunteer honored for his endless service

I am sure you have heard of the expression “Goodwill ambassador” that pertains to a person who has volunteered his time with one organization.

Gerald “Jed” Hornung who stared his career as a speaker for the Junior American Red Cross since the start of World War II, discovered his gift as a motivational speaker with the group that assists people in their community during the aftermath of natural disasters.

Hornung who has been a goodwill ambassador for the American Red Cross for 70 years was recently honored for his kind way of speaking why people around the world should volunteer to work for the American Red Cross.

Rachel Zellum who is employed at the American Red Cross in Burlington Vermont is impressed that Gerald who discovered his talent at a young age how to speak kindly of the wonderful deeds that the American Red Cross for 70 years and counting.

Gerald has admitted that through the years the American Red Cross has changed a lot in the 70 years of service. However Gerald’s speaking talent and kind personality has gained him a lot of followers who he has inspired to follow his amazing leadership skills to inspire greatness in the younger generation of people.

You can call Gerald “Jed” Hornung an unsung hero who does his duty of assisting others without expecting a reward from the people he serves all of the time.

There is a reason that people who lived during the World War era are called “The Greatest Generation”.
