Reedsy is a platform where you can earn by submitting your short story between 1,000-3,000 words.
It’s a weekly competition whereby it starts from Friday and ends on the next Friday (a week from the start of the contest) at 11:59 EST.
Every Friday, they provide five prompts. You can choose one prompt or incorporate several into one prompt. And, you can submit as many entries as you can.
It’s free to enter, and you can win $50 if you’re the winner.
I have submitted several but I haven’t won yet. I haven’t yet reached that level since I’m more of a nonfiction writer than a fiction one.
The entries are usually high exceeding 1,000 submissions.
If you would like to try your hand, for fun, and to win, you can check it here for more information.
Sounds very interesting. Thanks for the link. I’ll take a look.
Ok. Let me know what you think about it
i haven’t really focused on non-fiction in a long time.
It might you have been very busy.
yes busy is a good word for it. it is also that I decided to focus on poetry i do works of fiction on occasion – i just put one on Hubpages. But for the most part, I write non-fiction now.
You can try entering poetry competitions as they’re many and free to enter. I’m not good at fiction.
i don’t chase money for poems anymore, I love writing poetry. It isn’t something I do it is something i love.
Thanks for the link. I am trying to juggle too much right now but I saved this for later. Good luck with your writing.
Thank you. You’ve so much going on but one has got to do what has to be done to stay afloat.
