This Fragile Thread

I write this not only in memory of our Friend Kim Massey, but in memory of Karen and Karla’s beloved Daddy as well…

Nearly a year has passed

Since we said goodbye

Without words really being said

We did not know that the last moment

Would be our last moment.

Sometimes life slips away

And the moments pass from us

And we realize this fragile thread we call

Life

Finding comfort in the fact

That we will see our loved ones again

When we are called home

To that place of Jesus’s love.

Nearly a year has passed

And we both grieve and rejoice

In memories.
