I’ve been to that place
Where you walk the crooked mile.
I’ve fallen on my knees
With tears in my eyes
As I’ve fought for hard won steps.
I know what Afo’s and kafo’s.
I know what it’s like to cry and praise.
I’ve been hurt and I’ve been
Healed.
I made it to this place of grace
Where I’ve learned acceptance
Doesn’t mean giving up
Or giving in
But pushing through the storms.
I’ve seen some broken
By the very beast
And others seemingly made whole.
I’ve walked that crooked miles
On my knees
And on my face.
I’ve dreamed a thousand dreams
And made a million memories
As I learned to find
My place of grace.

Yes, we all have to learn how to push through the storms.
Great writing I love your style, it always strikes a nerve with me.
Thank you so much Carol, your words bless me!
