If it is beauty and fragrance you crave, the mock orange bush will give it to you and much more if only for a few weeks. The blooms profusely in late spring and then the flowers gradually fall or fade away. I wish there was a way to harness the scent of the mock orange and create a natural perfume or an essential oil. For now I will enjoy its lush beauty, radiance and scent. The one downside to this plant is its short blooming period which is just about two to three weeks. During that time, however, just enjoy this plant in all its glory and its intoxicating fragrance that pervades the entire garden.
Beautiful plant, wish I could smell it too.
You can smell it all over the yard when it is blooming.
I see this plant for the first time. I don’t know if it thrives in our country.
It was here when we moved to this house several years ago and it was the first for me too
Beautiful plant. It’s really a pity it blooms in so little time.
Yes that is the only downside
This is a new plant to me. A shame it is short lived but how beautiful!
Yes I wish I knew how to extend the blooms.
