The Taste Tests had been a great success.
The Public had participated, had submitted a name, and then voted on the names. Thousands of names were cut to hundreds.
The computer was doing the counting.
Most of the votes to name the new drink went to ‘Snot’.
No one on the Board which had created the idea of having a taste test, the rules and methods, knew how one reacts to this, so an extra ordinary meeting was called.
Some members of the Board advocated removing ‘Snot’ from contention although the media had already picked it up
.”Would you drink Snot?” was the banner.
Some members felt ‘no publicity is bad publicity’, while others were asking the Legal Department if they were bound to use the name which got the most votes.
