Senior Discounts: Places to Eat

Revised: 29 Apr 2018

There aren’t many advantages to getting older but one is that many businesses will offer you a special discount if you are above a certain age. Since I am above the age for which most of these offers are made, I like to keep track of them. There’s nothing wrong with saving a little money. If you know of any others, leave me a comment and I’ll add them to the list for the next revision.

By virtue of the fact that I live in Chicago, the list is biased towards discounts in the United States and particularly the Midwestern United States. That doesn’t mean that I won’t add items from other parts of the country or the world. If you have something to add, I’ll add it.

  • Applebee’s: 15% off with Golden Apple Card (60+)
  • Arby’s: 10% off (55+)

  1. You could add national parks and monuments, too, since I often write about them. US National Parks and Monuments offer discounts for admission to people over the age of 62 and many of the vendors in those parks also offer discounts. A number of states also offer discounts for fishing and hunting licenses to seniors.

    • A great idea. I used to have all of the discounts in one list but it’s too large for Virily so I’m breaking it up into smaller lists. I added this to the travel list which, since the weather is getting nicer, I think I’ll publish next. Give me a few days to update it.
