Serbian (and Balkan’s ) traditional cuisine is rich in flavors and fragrances by mixing the influences of various people who have passed through here and live in this region, so the rich Serbian table offers unforgettable tastes that can be felt only in Serbia. The food we all love to eat is pepper. Here’s a recipe how to cook peppers in a simple way.
Ingredients:
- about 1 kg of red peppers (6-7 pcs)
- 500 g of fresh cheese
- 150 g gaud cheese
- 3 eggs
- 50 g of parmesan
- 3-4 tablespoons of sour cream
- 1 garlic cloves
Wash peppers and cleanse them from seeds and peduncle. Mix the fresh cheese in the bowl, grated gaudua, add grated fresh parmesan and chopped garlic. Mix the eggs, add at the end 1-2 tablespoons of sour cream. The mixture will look a bit rare, but do not worry, during roasting, the eggs are coagulated and bonded into a solid filling. Fill peppers with a mixture. Put the peppers on a platter, you can put it on with a baking paper. Bake at 160 degrees C for 15 minutes, then turn the pepper to bake and top. With this recipe, it’s nice that potatoes can be baked together with them, so the stuffing will give a special taste to the potatoes.
In the mixture you can add spicy herbs, or hot peppers .. how you want and love.
It is served hot, but it is excellent and cool, and cut into rolls, it can also be part of a cold appetizer.
I love stuffed peppers. In Texas, we have stuffed jalapeno peppers. YUM!
I’m glad that Texas and Serbia have a common love for stuffed peppers.
Stuffed peppers are my favorite side dish. Love them so much!

Make it home … you will be able to enjoy this delicious meal.
