These past couple of days I have been having cravings for my favorite ice cream, so I made my way out to Pete’s Fresh Market in amidst of everyone panicking about the coronavirus. The hilarious part about this visit was that, here you have a market congested with customers stocking up on food items, but you also have the customers with less than 10 items picking up something just to get them through the day. I literally visited with the sole purpose to pick up a pint of Ben & Jerry’s, but I grabbed a root beer, a frozen pizza, and some polish sausages to eat this upcoming week in the process.

I was fortune enough to find a parking spot in a congested lot, as well as find what I visited for which just gives me more confidence to go a few more weeks without having a load of items stocked. Hang in there people, we can make it through this!

Enjoy your ice cream. And take care.
Ben, and Jerry are bringers of the light!
Yes, indeed. When I saw it, it was like a light leading to heaven : )
Ben and Jerry’s is my 3rd favorite. I like the local DC area chain (Brusters) they made their own ice cream!
I will remember that next time I fly out to DC
be prepared for long lines. In the summer you can wait (in some locations) a 1/2 hour.
Thinking about it, when I did live in Arlington VA, I always flew out of that airport in Alexandria. And I did that very few times because I always had some race I was doing in the DC, MD, or VA area, so I rarely left. I was very selfish back then because running had a huge lock on me. I can seriously relate my love for it back with someone that has a drug addiction.
Going to put something together about that in the future. I’ll have to share my pictures because I was small. Fifteen pounds smaller than I am now and my damn cheek bones.
i remember when i was running. i built my day around my running schedule. I had just started as a school teacher and it was my stress relief system.
Would love to read an article about that issue (running as more than exercise)
I gave a comparison to my social work classmates on the similarities. Runners are always chasing that high in order to feel normal. And when they don’t get to run, watch out! I manage it well now, but I used to be clutter brained and edgy when I didn’t run.
For me now, the fun thing is truly just walking. I can talk to other people for work, so I am not limited during the day, if I want to walk during working hours!
