I consider myself a hermit outside of work and school, but luckily, I have hobbies that get me out of my apartment which are running, cycling and thrift shopping. All three are major factors that keep me sane in this hectic world we live in, which is a totally different topic. Today, I had the day off from work and was not in the mood to venture out on one of my fitness journey’s around Chicago, however I was in the mood to visit the thrift store. I love to refer to my visits to the thrift store as thrift therapy, which is my go to when I do not have the urge to workout.
Anyway, I made my way to a thrift store that I have visited many times which is called ‘Village Discount Outlet’. I love ‘Village Discount Outlet’ stores because Chicago has many throughout its 77 neighborhoods listed, and from my view ‘Village Discount Outlet’ stores are cluttered with the thrift store treasures that I love and priced at affordable prices.
In this confession, I wanted to share just two of the items that I purchased, which was a slim fit plaid shirt by BKE, and a cross body chest pack by Otium which I have featured pictures of. Both items costed me $4 each!
I love thrifting too and yes it can be therapeutic. Great buys you got there.
Thank you, Gloridaze. Its one of those things that I always make a special day for.
