In this video, fashion designer Justine Leconte talks about fashion designers becoming political in response to societal events. Many artists and designers get their inspiration and ideas from their surroundings in society. And, some ideas might be negative, due to various negative action in some countries. Many artists also have a voice, and they will express themselves creatively to support a particular cause. She lists some of the recent politics going on in the media, such as the Time’s Up cause on the awards show where many celebrities were dressed in all black.
Many designers in the past have created fashions that are eco-friendly green and made with vegan material to express their concern for animals as well as the planet.
