New Jersey Police rescue a couple that were trapped in floodwater

If there is one thing about life, it is that sometimes the fickle finger of fate will throw a monkey wrench to change the plans of people in general.

A couple in Bogota New Jersey had finished their wedding ceremony inside a church on Saturday when there plans to attend a wedding party were postponed due to severe thunderstorms in the area that made traveling on the roads in Bogota New Jersey very dangerous to travel on that day.

The name of the wedding couple was not reported to the media. However as soon as the recent newlyweds were trapped in water that went up to the grill of their auto, one of the passengers in the auto that was trapped on a flooded road called 911 to report the incident.

The Bogota Police Department sent a Humvee to rescue the couple that were trapped on the road, a police officer was able to get both the bride and the groom out of their auto safe and sound without any problems.

Even though the wedding party was postponed due to the thunderstorms in the area, the couple are very grateful that the Bogota Police Officers were able to rescue them from being trapped inside the auto for a longer period of time.

I am sure as soon as the bad weather in the New Jersey region has passed, the wedding couple will likely to invite the officers of the Bogota Police Department to their wedding party.

Not to sound callous. I guess you can say that the wedding party was postponed due to a rain check. It just goes to show all of us that we should be saying “Lord willing, the next event in our lives will come to pass.”
