Hawaii Five-0 – Ka Hakaka Maika'i

“Ka Hakaka Maika’i” is episode six of season two of Hawaii Five-0 and it opens with McGarrett going into a mixed martial arts fight before going back 48 hours. This was fairly expected; the fight made no sense otherwise.

A man duct taped to a chair and shot sinks into a swimming pool. When Five-0 investigate, it resembles, on the surface, a couple of recent home invasions. However, it was not done the same way and the home invasions didn’t end in death. The actual invaders are quickly found, and they aren’t responsible – as expected. Someone was clearly using the home invasions to cover up a murder, but what was the motive?

Kono is back at work (officially at work; she never stopped) after the previous episode, “Ma’ema’e”; as expected, she was working undercover.

Related to McGarrett’s investigation of Wo Fat, Joe calls in Kensi Blye, from NCIS: Los Angeles, in to help with the tape, linking the series to that one and others.

This episode’s name means “The Good Fight”.
