Robert Banks who is the manager of the Perfect Line Barber Shop in Ensley Alabama which is located near Birmingham Alabama has a great way to give back to his community without the huge fanfare that some celebrities and sports stars do to gain some attention.
Robert bought out of his money 100 backpacks to give to students who will be enrolling into schools in a few weeks.
The bonus of this gift to the customers of his third annual “Back To School Support & Supplies” program which entitles a student to get a free haircut before the students enter school with a great appearance and incentive to do to their best in the subjects that are being taught so they can be ready to tackle the world when they become adults.
What I really enjoy about Robert doing this work of charity is that by giving superb service to his customers and giving them the incentive to get an average of an A on their report cards throughout the upcoming school year, the students will get another free haircut.
Robert is applying the give principle in business by giving away a free haircut to students before the start of the academic school year, the students will develop confidence to do their best in the school year.
Wonderful! That’s what we need, not those smooth talkers that call themselves politicians. They always brag about what they will do and when they get elected they care only about getting rich. Most of them…
That is true. According to one businessman who repairs bikes in Massachusetts he mentioned by keeping quiet about how great is his bike repair shop is, people start to like him a lot more for doing his charity work to donate bikes to the needy.
He understands the value of investing in the future
It is evident that Robert has a good head on his shoulders by using the give way of business instead of get version of running a business. He admits that when a client thanks him for his work, he feels great inside.
but even such a simple thing as a new haircut might help a student perform better in class. I would never have considered such a thing but it seems obvious to me in hindsight
It is kind of odd that kids today believe that a haircut makes them do better in school.
it is a self-esteem issue, and if confidence can be had for the price of a haircut, then it is a bargain
but yeah, it is pretty stupid
There are fewer such good people
There some people who are good people who believe in the giving way of life instead of living the lap of luxury and not doing much to help the less fortunate.
