Making something by hand can be a creative and rewarding experience. Often times it can also be very expensive.
This morning as I was crocheting a dishcloth for my nephew, my husband said, “I think you can buy two of them at the store for $2.00.”
He is 100% accurate. This dishcloth will last longer. My nephew will know not only did I spend the money, but the time for this gift. I was also Crocheting while on my exercise bike, so it served another purpose.
On the other hand the fidget spinners I made with skate wheels were cute, but measure by the same standards were not a good choice. My time and money was not spent wisely. If I had made them with the children instead of for the children it would have been different.
How do you determine when to do it yourself?
Handmade items are always more valuable than what you buy at a store. You put love and energy into everything you make
Well, I agree with that if I am giving them as a gift.
Nice work waooo…!!
What is nice about it? What did you like?
