When You Live in a Kakiscracy

In the first episode I described a situation when before I applied for a position I made a phone call to learn if I could.   I found that the position would be given to Gal Gal, the slam of a Big Man.   Hence I didn’t bother to apply.

In the second,  a similar situation occurred, in which a Board Member refused to agree to the appointment of a Gal Gal, and subsequently was fired.

This third is the most upsetting of all, for this is the girl in High School, who learns how jobs are disbursed.

Imagine a girl in her last year of High School or college, who has been told about qualifications and applications and is the best she can be.   Then she learns that jobs,  those high paying, lots of benefit government jobs, are given to the Big Man’s Slam.Maybe she graduates and tries, honestly tries. Maybe she thinks that if she is the best, she will get a chance. And applies for those posts..  Maybe she’s sees the stupidest girl in her class in a skin tight outfit, wiggling around, and learns that girl got the job.

Maybe she learns the job has already been promised to Gal Gal and all this bus far and costs of copying documents, and getting dressed up, is a waste of time and effort.Because Gal Gal will get the job on her back.Maybe she sees some Big old Man who smiles at her, and although he may be repulsive, he is her ticket to that good job.So she has to decide, do I lie down, or keep walking, and maybe get a job pumping gas or working in a shop?
