Thillens Stadium Sign, Chicago, Illinois (2009-10-02 17-07-03a)
This sign was locate at Devon and Kedzie, Chicago, Illinois (West Ridge). Although the stadium was built in 1938, the baseball sign wasn’t installed until the 1950s. After some legal disputes, the Thillens name was removed and, eventually, the entire sign was taken down. The land is now owned by the Chicago Park District.
The photo was taken with a Panasonic DMC-FZ50 camera. I used ACDSee Ultimate 2018 to edit the image. First I adjusted the white balance and lighting. I boosted the contrast and the vibrance and lowered the brightness in the oranges to make the brickwork in the background look less boring. Lastly I increased the clarity.
