The Moskva hotel building was the largest private building in the Kingdom of Serbia, then called Palata Rossija. January 16, 1908 Palace of Russia – today’s hotel in Moscow was opened by King Peter I Karađorđević. Hotel Moscow was built in the style of the Russian secession, with skillfully incorporated elements of Greek antiquity. Over 4 million people stayed here. Among them were physicist Albert Einstein, famous director Alfred Hitchcock, writer Maxim Gorky, American President Richard Nixon, Indian revolutionary Mahatma Gandhi, opera singer Luciano Pavarotti, and Hollywood actors Jack Nicholson, Robert De Niro, Brad Pit, Mila Jovovic, Kirk Douglas, Michael Douglas, and many others.

The center of Belgrade is called Terazije according to the old Turkish water distribution system. From 1913 to 1940, he was called the square of the crown prince.
