LeMay Auto Parts Ghost Sign (2018-09-07 13-20-53a)
Chicago has quite a few ghost sings – old signs painted right on to the building or made to be a part of the design on the building. I happened to be driving by this one the other day when, because of a well-timed stop light,I was able to grab a photo of it.
The storefront is located at 2435 North Halsted Street in Chicago, Illinois (Lake View). The building was supposed to be converted into a restaurant but is currently serving as the base of operations for road repair in the area. The company still operates in Chicago although, obviously, at a different location.
The photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera. I used ACDSee Ultimate 2018 to do the post-processing. I had to rotate the image a bit and crop it some. (I didn’t have much time to be careful when I took the photo.) I adjusted the lighting, the white balance, the levels and the tone curve. I raised the contrast, clarity and saturation.

It is nice you had the chance to explore the city with the old signages.
This one wasn’t particularly near my house but there are quite a few in my neighborhood.
I guess it is nice to hunt some photos of them there then. If I have the chance, I will do such an action.
