Jerusalem is a very diverse city. Here we can see people from different cultures living and working together. The man with the black hat is from the Ultra Orthodox community. They dress like this because they want to keep the tradition. They study the Bible and commentaries on the Bible.
The woman is an immigrant from Eithopia. She carries her baby on her back wrapped up in a cloth. In the 1980’s many people came from Eithopia to live in Israel because people with the Jewish heritage were being discriminated against by the government. Now there is a big community of people who live in Israel. The baby is the only one aware that I took the picture. He is so cute!
