This is a saying used when a person has been warned about a venture, yet proceeds on it just the same.
Many times a person will be warned about a dangerous or stupid plan, but pay no attention. Just before the person embarks on this venture someone will pass this remark.
It is also said after disaster, as a kind of “I Told You So.”
