Shirley took the posting in the other city, which was a two hour bus ride away. It came with accommodation at a nearby guest house.
That was perfect.
No housework, nothing to worry about.
She would work from Wednesday to Sunday, be off Monday and Tuesday.
She gave her sister spare keys to her flat and organised her schedule.
Shirley would leave the new city Sunday evening. She would reach her flat around nine p.m. and relax. In the morning, about ten, her sister would arrive with Zac.
They’d spend the rest of Monday and Tuesday together, and she’d leave the flat after dinner on Tuesday, reaching the Guest House, around seven. She’d shower, watch television, then to bed, and the next day, work.
