I started a challenge that is all about making a poem from a Pixabay photo. It is easy! Just write a poem that relates to a Pixbay photo. No other rule is necessary to remember. I was thinking about my sister and Carol DM that lost their son. I want them to feel like their loved ones are not far from them. I hope this helps a little bit.
From The World Beyond Into the Now
Remember their spirit
It is traveling with you
And wants to unite
And cast out all fright
They do not want their memory
To be about casting a shadow
Over all the shocking
Memories of the past
They want their love
To help you fly
Beyond the pain
To the great
New
Way beyond the stars.

Reflection
Remember to try to be true to yourself when you have lost someone dear to you. Try to pick yourself up. Dust off the sadness, and try to live in the future, and not the past. Living in the past will never give you answers. Living in the future will bring forth many bright-filled days.
I know it is hard when you lose someone dear to you, and grieving is a part of the process, but try to push forward, or you could get stuck in the past, and sink like quick-sand. Love their spirit, and you will feel that they really never left you for even a single second.
This is so beautiful. I think all of us who have lost someone can relate.
Time is the best therapist for these pains. I do not even try to write because I do not get anything.
You are the best my dear LaJenna. Even though I know and have told others these same words, I needed this little nudge to see moving forward, as Dustin wants.
I hope your sister is managing through her grief.
Thank you!
You are always welcome Carol. That is why I keep writing these types of poem, so we all can keep moving forward.
And never think I don’t realize that. 🙂
Well done powerful poem!
We always know that releasing is much easier and more liberating than hold something, even though it is often painful, but again, it is just a liberation.
Yes pain needs to be addressed then peace can reside within us once again.
I totally agree with you!
