A Texas mother shares her birthday party with needy kids

Amanda Rico found a way to celebrate her 30th birthday after she was inspired by reading to her children the book “Light Up The Darkness” as a bedtime story.

Amanda realized that a lot of children do not have loving parents to grant them birthday presents much less have a party to celebrate the next year of their birth.

What Amanda did with the help of her husband, volunteers and close friends was to arrange to have her birthday party at St. P J’s Children’s Home to share her birthday party with 130 neglected and abused children in San Antonio Texas.

It is nice to see Amanda put up the needs of others instead of celebrating her 30th birthday with only her close friends and relatives since true happiness in life is to share your good times with people in need since sharing a good time is the best way to share your special events with others who live in a dark world through no fault of their own. Don’t you agree?

As a special bonus a local San Antonio television news report covered this wonderful act of kindness.
