Walked the neighborhood this morning as part of the August Walking Challenge, Very rare that I do because of it not being one of the safest neighborhoods in Chicago, so I am very selective of the times of the day when I do go out. Mood plays a factor, too! If I am not feeling kosher or if something bad recently transpired then I typically do not go out.
Got my third covid-19 test today which gave me some extra kilometers walked to-and-from the site. As of today I am currently at 17 kilometers out of 50 for the August Walking Challenge. I have been incorporating my daily activities like grocery shopping with this challenge.

17 km is pretty good. You are almost halfway and almost halfway in the month!
I’ll be hitting the half way point either today or tomorrow. Just need only 3 miles at this very moment.
yesterday was cooler so my goal was 30,000 steps!
My Under Armour application lists steps. Always interested how accurate it is
normally it is based on the phone you have and the quality of the accelerometer as to the accuracy of the step count.
The accelerometer notes motion, the GPS chip based on the connection then calculates the distance.
Seems like its a lot of work for the application. I typically use it along with strava application, but absolutely hate under armour app. Users are anti-social on it versus strava. I connect with many fitness enthusiasts across the globe and love it.
people can be petty on social media
I have had and still have many moments where I want to delete under armour app because strava is so much better.
Good for you and that is a great walking workout. I have not been out in ages. I am planning on going out to stretch my legs on Saturday but I know I will feel funny walking about with a mask on.
Seeing others wearing one doesn’t feel weird. Depending on where you walk you may not even need it, or may not have to wear it all over the mouth and nose.
