   • to be fair to Lenin, the model of Communism we have isn’t what he envisioned…

     • I have a good friend who is a professor of Russian History. He would argue that Lenin knew all along, he just didn’t expect to die that early in the process. His goal was to build a fence around Stalin. He needed the ruthless use of power isolated from him. But, then he died, and Stalin didn’t have a fence around him.

       • Lenin certainly never wrote about the need of the populace for a paranoid murderous dictator

         • He never did, his dream was one of something a little different. His death, which could have made that dream solid (martyr) instead allowed for Stalin. Sad.
