This is humid

a bit viscid

a slow move of skies

they float by and by

raining is not

sweating is on

faces burnt by salt soaked beads

as the trees stay listless

when would the air begin its blow

and stir the lazy clouds

sending winds down

that would first dry us around

prayers after prayers

come to naught

rain simply does not drop

we have to bear it on body

drenched and feeling fatigued

Oh! God

let your curtain unfurl

so that we can breathe!
