The sound was grating
high pitched wearing your ears
with a smile.
Tearing at you
with the sound of steel
pressing on steel
and tearing
the molecules of air between
apart, the screaming sound
of air ripped in half
left to die
by the metal.
Can you hear it?
or is just me
the sound of air dying
molecules writhing in pain
as split
they cannot reunite
on the ground
by the metal
no longer air.
