Nine months ago, I shared an article on ‘The Hatchery‘ , which is a non-profit food and beverage incubator that is coming to the East Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago. Every time I drive by the location of ‘The Hatchery’, I anticipate its arrival even more because I believe that it is a step towards great things for the neighborhood. As of yet, I have never been to a food incubator and I admit, I have done research on what a food incubator consists of, but its website gave me the best description allowing me to paint a picture of what it consists of. If you are familiar with farmers market, the Hatchery offers prep space, storage as well as a place for entrepreneurs to sell their local produce and products.
As of right now, these are updated pictures of ‘The Hatchery’. As for an estimate, I estimate that it will be up and running going into the new year.
Hopefully all food here will be healthy and prices affordable.
Me too, Natalya : ) It would make sense for it to be affordable considering that the neighborhood is in the slums
Something worthy of being anticipated.
Definitely! I would imagine that it will last because of the backing it has from huge vendors.
That is great for people in your area.
This will be great news for you all living in the area.
Yes, indeed. In this neighborhood in particular it brings better food, too. Most of the foods are fast food, or either junk that is at convenient stores.
