This is my niece while she was on holiday in the Kruger National Park. This is an extremely rare photograph as not many are willing to pose for a shot like this one. According to game rangers, this particular elephant has shown a long standing affinity for humans. These gentle creatures are being hunted senselessly into oblivion which makes this shot that much more precious.
Your niece is certainly fearless. In front of such a great beast I would have slithered away but if the game keeper were around maybe I would also have tried it….
