The back pasture has been cut and bailed. What does this mean? It means the eagles and hawks are feasting on the small animals and rodents that used to have cover in the high hay.
It’s an amazing sight to sit and watch the skilled hunters get their prey. It’s all about the circle of life. They take the feast back the nest and feed the young.
Just down the road the osprey are teaching their young how to fish from the river and the lake. If the fledglings look like they are in trouble you will see a parent gently grab them up to safety. It is inspiring.
I feel so blessed to live where I can observe nature. It is nice to hear as well.
