Raccoons are very popular in Canada. In Toronto, we have lots of them on the streets and in the parks. This was a friendly raccoon just hanging out in the park last spring. Raccoons can be quite aggressive if they feel threatened. But this one was okay having its photo taken. It actually put on a small show as it climbed up and down the tree a few times before it settled on just observing from his tree.
Usually the tail of the grey raccoons is a mix of black, white and grey but this one seems to have a reddish tail which makes it interesting.
We have a lot them here in the US as well.

It was friendly compared to others. Usually they hiss at you.
