Tucked away in far west Texas, it really may be in the middle nowhere. That is a big part of the charm. It’s not overrun with people.
One of the things I found interesting were the number of balanced rocks. I am amazed that they have stayed there for so long undisturbed.
Not everyone would love to see a herd of javelins, I squealed with delight. They like a cross between a pig and a skunk. I thought they were cute. (I was less thrilled with the snakes, lizards and geckos.)
The shear number of hummingbirds and how loud they were I found quite interesting. It was more than I had ever seen.
They advertise hike, drive and paddle. We did all three and it was a delightful visit over all.
