It’s Saturday! Time for new Saturday Critters challenge. Today I want to show you a little frog I found in Chindia lakeFrogs are extraordinary animals. Despite their fragile appearance, they possesse a number of qualities that enable them to live in any climate. To succeed in overcoming winter, most frog species (amphibians) hibernate. When the temperature drops below a certain level, frogs stop feeding and begin to slow down their metabolism. Frogs do not bury themselves in the mud as they thought, but stay on the surface or just partially sunk. Lakes, deeper ponds, which are just freezing on the surface, are the ideal places for hibernation.

Thank you, @Perfectfeeds!
Why do not you try to make your own comments. It is not nice to copy the comments of others!
I told him the same thing. He never reads or replies. Hes been copying and pasting so much.
They are all tucked in since the lake has started to freeze over. Great shots, pretty frog.
This photo is taken before the lake is freezing. Now none dares to come out!
When I lived in the former Canal Zone in Panama in the town called “La Boca” (The Mouth) which was near the Panama Canal entrance in the Pacific side, they were plenty of frogs in the backyard.
Several years ago there were several common frogs in the lake. Now there are more turtles than common frogs.
I did not know that for a fact.
I love frogs but never see them since I am away from the water. How cute!
It’s so cute and colorful, yeah, he could be the prince charming.
Then we find out it’s a girl. ?
