Nichol Kola Sign (2018-06-21 13-16-59a)
The sign was on the wall of the Cracker Barrel Restaurant located at 730 North Lyford Road in Rockford, Illinois.
I try to include some background information but I couldn’t find much about this. Nichol Kola was produced in Baltimore, Maryland until it was purchased by Coca Cola in the 1950s. It can still be purchased at specialty stores. The bottles still have 5¢ on the label but that’s just for the design. A bottle will cost you around $1.50 to $2.50 depending on the store.
The photo was taken using a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera and edited using ACDSee Ultimate 2018. I corrected the perspective slightly and cropped to fit the sign. Then I adjusted the lighting and the white balance and increased the contrast, vibrance and clarity.
